Filho of Raimundo of Silva Linhares and Teresa Rodrigues Morais, Linhares to their twelve years his/her display interest for the music when on that moment he/she asks the a friend of childhood with he/she does to be a singer. To the 16 years his/her purchase first guitar, to the 17 years records his/her first music “Old Highway”. To the 18 years it records “Black Life”, “My Love”, it leaves for the north and northeast making shows, he/she knows Shanghai, Geraldo Azevedo, Records the CD Letras of the Life with the friends' participations of all and partners. Gilmar Linhares was coordinating of SICAM (Society of the Authors and Musical Composers) in all state of Bahia, was also fiscal of ECAD (Central Office of Collection and Distribution) where he/she administered 22 cities of the northeast From Bahia. He/she lived his/her first relationship with Maria José (I Entrust) that lasted 13 years, now three children's father, JOÃO,IALLE,IOKANAAN LINHARES, lives and it lives here in R. of the Dovecote-Nanny. Linhares, photographer, composer, poet, writer, concluded the 2nd degree in company administration, now he/she is president of ADAS-Assoc. of the Solidary Friends, institution of CHARITY that it has been helping a lot of lacking people in this area. Em 1º de março de 1966 a lua bate a porta do peixe. Nasce então em Ribeira do Pombal sertão da Bahia numa sexta feira 2 horas da tarde, Gilmar Rodrigues Linhares. Filho de Raimundo da Silva Linhares e Teresa Rodrigues Morais, Linhares aos seus doze anos mostra seu interesse pela música quando naquele momento pergunta a um amigo de infância com faz para ser cantor. Aos 16 anos compra seu primeiro violão, aos 17 anos grava sua primeira música “Estrada Velha”. Aos 18 anos grava “Negra Vida”, “Meu Amor” , parte para o norte e nordeste fazendo shows, conhece Xangai, Geraldo Azevedo, Grava o CD Letras da Vida com participações de todos os amigos e parceiros. Gilmar Linhares foi coordenador da SICAM (Sociedade dos Autores e Compositores Musicais) em todo estado da Bahia, foi também fiscal do ECAD (Escritório Central de Arrecadação e Distribuição) onde administrou 22 cidades do nordeste Baiano. Viveu seu primeiro relacionamento com Maria José (Fio) que durou 13 anos, agora pai de três filhos, JOÃO,IALLE,IOKANAAN LINHARES, vive e reside aqui em R. do Pombal – Ba. Linhares, fotógrafo, compositor, poeta, escritor, concluiu o 2º grau em administração de empresa, atualmente é presidente da ADAS – Assoc. dos Amigos Solidários, instituição de CARIDADE que tem ajudado muita gente carente nesta região.
